Aug 12, 2022 · I was raised/taught to make sinigang with the Knorr brand mix. I don’t think my family ever made it with tamarinds or tamarind paste, or a different sour like calamansi. Is sinigang made with actual tamarinds or calamansi considerably better than the mix packets? For reference: Kawaling Pinoy uses tamarinds. Panlasing Pinoy uses the Knorr packet.
